Acorn War XXIV

The  logosmall  invites you to Acorn War XXIV

Date: June 28-30, 2013 - The Shire Council voted to move the event earlier in the year!!

Place: Dragon's Den Farm, Newberg, OR
See last year's schedule below for more details... this will be updated as event planning proceeds.

Armored and rapier fighters, archers and equestrians: prepare to show your skill in tourneys and the War. Mountain Edge Archery, Youth Armored Combat, and Equestrian Defenders will be chosen at this event.  And new this year: A Thrown Weapons Defender of the Shire will also be chosen at Acorn War.

This site allows the same "Village Center" concept we've used in prior years, with all the military activities (the war, the erics, archery, thrown weapons, and equestrian) visible from merchants row.

Fighting scenarios will be added when available. There is a nice shady area for the ravine battle scenarios.

There will also be on site contests, classes and activities. Straw Into Gold and Scottish Rules Croquet, an A&S “village”, merchants row. Bring drinking water. Check back for details, pre-registration and waiver forms, updated event schedule, war scenarios and tourneys, and site and waiver information:

Site opens at 12 noon on Friday (10AM for merchants), and closes at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
