Next Council Meeting - Friday April 5, 2013

medieval-council

Greetings to All,

The next Mt. Edge council meeting will be held Friday April 5th at 7PM.

Why the date and time change? Several Shire members (including some of the officers) have found the Sunday meetings a challenge to attend. Therefore we decided to have the meetings on the first Friday evening of every month this year.

We hope eventually to be able to combine the Shire council meetings with a monthly A&S informal gathering that would run from 6PM - 9PM.

Meeting location: we have the Coffee Cottage Cafe meeting room reserved from 6PM - 9PM, The address is 808 E. Hancock Street, Newberg OR 97132. The Coffee Cottage Web site (www.coffeecottagecafe.net/contact.php) has a diagram of the meeting room location (a separate building from the main cafe). Hancock St. is 99W south through downtown Newberg - parking can be a challenge but some is available on-street. Look for the SCA folding sign in front of the entrance to the meeting room building.

We can order coffee and other menu items from the cafe and enjoy them in the room, and A&S projects like sewing and scribal (with protection for the meeting room table) are welcome. Let the cafe know you are part of the meeting - any food we order decreases the cost of the meeting room.

Garb optional for council meetings.

As always, everyone is invited to attend Shire council meetings, Shire residents and neighboring friends included.
